5 Tips for Making Valentine’s Day Special At Home
At Chamberlain’s, we completely understand that many of you will be spending the Valentine’s Day weekend celebrating at home instead of dining with us in-person this year. And that’s ok! In fact, we are offering our mouthwatering Valentine’s Weekend Menu both for dine-in or carryout, making it easy for you to enjoy a gourmet meal – whether that includes prime steaks or fresh seafood in Dallas - in the comforts of your home.
In addition to ordering an impeccable meal from Chamberlain’s Steak & Chop House, here are 5 other tips on how to make your Valentine’s Day at home more special:
Set the Table
How often do you set the table at your home? Chances are, not that often. But this is your chance to make an impressive spread! Break out your best linens, china, crystal – really anything that sets the tone that this dinner is more special than our run-of-the-mill dinners at home. You can even invest in some Valentine’s Day décor or bouquet of fresh flowers in a vase to further elevate your tablescape. Whatever you do, make sure dirty dishes, your phone, and other clutter aren’t anywhere near the table as a distraction.
Make it a Family Affair
Instead of just making it a romantic dinner for two, why not include the kids? Kids love any meal that is out of the ordinary! Ask them to come down dressed up and ready for a fancy dinner. It’s a great chance to create memories, introduce them to new foods they may never have tried (like fresh seafood in Dallas), and work on manners that will serve them well for the long run!
Plan for an Indoor Picnic
Another idea is to skip the table all together and take your meal to the floor. Set up a blanket on the floor - with maybe a few pillows for comfort – and make it an indoor picnic. Even add a picnic basket to set the stage! Just don’t forget the bottle of wine or champagne to toast to your perfect meal!
Add Fondue for Dessert
Few things are simpler than fondue! Melt some chocolate, add some dippers, and you’re set! Our Valentine’s Day meal comes with a dessert: your choice of the Warm Flourless Triple Chocolate Cake with Godiva Chocolate Sauce, the Raspberry Framboise Mousse, or the Warm Butterscotch Bread Pudding. Pair any of those with fresh strawberries and chocolate fondue, and you have the perfect end to any Valentine’s Day meal.
Mix it Up
Mix up your cocktail selection! Did you know that you can take mixology classes online? Plan to partake in an online class in making your own craft cocktails before or after your meal. These classes are fun, teach you something new, and add a whole new layer of fun to any Valentine’s Day celebration at home!
