Winter has set, and the trees are especially bare this year. Bring some color into your home of maybe the home of a friend. Consider planting bulbs inside and watching the beauty unfold. It’s not too late and they bloom quickly this time of year.
Amaryllis and paperwhites bulbs are still available in the home and garden stores. Keep this simple. Add a small bag or container of pebbles or tiny stones to your shopping list.
Put things together by carefully pouring the pebbles into a flat bottom bowl able to accommodate the number of bulbs you bought. Plant the bulbs as deep as you can in the stones though halfway will work. Add and keep water at the top of the stones and enjoy the show.
If they grow tall you may need to corral them by tying or adding stakes.
